Crosswinds Boating Center

We wanted to rent a pontoon boat. We pay $200 and some for a half day pontoon rental near where we live in Virginia, so we didn't feel we could justify $600 and some. Obviously people must pay it or they wouldn't be able to charge that much. I'm sure that people who pay it have a good time. We opted for the tandem kayaks and had a good time. I certainly wouldn't suggest on a hot day. We went in the morning, right when they opened.

Friendly staff and an easy booking experience! We got a tandem kayak for 2 hours. When we arrived, everything was ready for us, and the lake was larger than we expected and pleasant. We will rent through Crosswinds Boating Center again!

What a wonderful treasure of a place. Learn and go sail boating, kayaking, rent larger boats like pontoons, fish, even camping is available nearby. Young man working at the little hut was the nicest person there. A great place to get some alone time or have a family reunion.

My 12 year old daughter and I tried SUP for the first time. It was easy to find, rent and return. We had a blast. Highly recommend. Very affordable.

We Loved how cheap and easy it was to rent Kayaks here. They were all too-riding boats, but we still had a lot of fun.
