When kayaking on this late the access point it's great it's on the South side. The lake itself has a lot of shallow spots. I was in kayak and I was hitting the bottom quite a few times..... There is a portion in the center of the lake that goes almost all the way across that can't be more than a foot and a 1/2 deep.

Great place to launch during the week especially if you are a beginner like we are. It is empty. On a saturdays though there may not be parking if you did not get out there early enough.

My dogs pike to wade a bit and much around the inlet chasing frogs. Easy place to park and put your boats in. Clean and well kept. Potty smells but its an outhouse so what do you expect. At least its maintained.

Its a very beautiful and relaxing place out on the sandbar that's usually what we go for to relax on the boat and cool off even though its just a fish I g boat its cool and we make it work beck I'm off tall and I can layout on the middle front and back seats very comfortably so I can't wait to go again
