Would leave less stars if I could. These people are rude! They put in a new motor and I’ve had nothing but problems. They lied and said they disposed of the old motor when they were supposed to send it back. They tried to blame the warranty company but the warranty company was able to provide proof that bright wells were the liars. When I threatened to sue they magically were able to get my motor back. Stay away!

Very professional, outgoing and willing to help you and communicate. I know a lot of places will not take care of 30-40-year-old motors (that are worth working on not straight junk). But if you respect them and the services they provide or what resources they are gladly Willing to help you and take care of you or what they recommend.

Was our first time going and needless to say were not going back. We didnt even make it out of the car before being met at our window hounded with questions. We were there to see what and if there was a show room as my husband was looking for a particular boat and when he askes if they had it, he was rudly talked over. The guy made the impression afterwards we were not welcome to look around as he just kept stating "we dont have it". Again we just had arrived and had never been and wanted to look around to see what they did have

Very pleasant and professional staff. I've been a faithful Brightwell's customer for years though I only require their services a few times a year. I am always impressed with the knowledge base of everyone I encounter there. I've had 2 different boats/outboards serviced there with great results and very reasonable prices. They have always gotten my work done in the time they said they would. They will go out of their way to research and order special parts. They've got a customer for life in me and I hope you give them a try for your marine needs.

I had a good experience getting parts from them, but when I recently ran into outboard power issues that I could not diagnose myself my experience was different. They first diagnosed my low oil indicator with a correct failing part. I fixed that myself and when I went to get back on water I had no top end power. Took it back to them and they did not charge me with another diagnostic fee since I was back soon after the initial diagnosis which I really did appreciate (why I am giving them two stars). However, they stated at the conclusion of the second series of diagnostics that the technician had done every test he could think of and can not find out why I wouldn't have any power. He said to try replacing the PCM which is a $2500 part and is not returnable. I asked him for a part # so I could look for used part. The employee on the phone gave me a part # that turned out to be incorrect. I am just glad I did not buy a new one. I have a used part now that won't fit my motor and I cannot return it. I called to verify if they would be willing to try more diagnostic work on it and that I would be willing to pay for more hours if needed and he said they would not be willing to do it, that it was just an old motor and they are done working with it. I took it to another shop for a second opinion. They diagnosed it properly and it was a part completely unrelated to the PCM. I really wish I was more patient or I would have gotten the part number in writing on my ticket from the clerk but hindsight is 20/20.
