Nice place to launch, but channel ("finger") can be tricky. It's easy to get hung up in shallow water; final approach to Lake Whiskey can be tricky, especially for newbies. Shoot 'er straight down the channel, don't drift right or left, and you're good.

It is a nice place to launch because there isn't much boat traffic and the water is always very calm. The only problem is that it can be quite scummy at the end of the finger... but that's what a powerwasher is for.
