Blue Water Marine Repair

I have used Blue Water Marine Repair to service the Volvo Pentas in my 450 Carver Voyager Pilothouse for the past three years. These guys are great! Joe is sensitive to not just replacing expensive parts willy nilly. He does a good job at explaining his recommendations. This kind of work is neither easy nor inexpensive but I always feel that I get quality work done and that gives me more confidence on the water!

I have a pair of Volvo-Penta outdrives on my cruiser that I dropped off for reconditioning. They don't do painting or the like, but Joe did pull the all the guts out inspected them and put them back together with new parts where needed for what I consider a reasonable cost and Joe did the work quickly. I can't wait to see how they perform after the work! - Dave

Blue Water Marine Repair did close to $12,000 worth of repairs to my outdrive and other items on my boat. The outdrive works great, however, all the other items I asked them to do, which I paid for, have failed. They replaced the starter that I had on my boat because they said it wasn't working correctly. Since then, they have now installed THREE starters, all which have failed. They refuse to come out and do the worth as they said bilge water got the third one and they weren't covering it. I paid for them to fix the electrical on my boat, as the boat was still "hot" even after you turned the batteries off. Turns out, they unhooked the bilge without my knowledge and it didn't pump the water out. I noticed that the boat was lower than normal and went out and manually hooked the bilge up to the battery to get the water out. They sent out a technician who wasn't aware of how to properly hook the bilge up. He left without fixing it and then I fixed it in less than 20 minutes. I paid over $600.00 just in additional items and they have yet to actually fix anything besides the outdrive. Max and Joe (near the end) have been completely unprofessional and refuse to work on my boat or refund me for the items which I paid for but didn't receive. Absolutely terrible service near the end.

Every time i call them they say they will call me back and don't. Their web site has an automated appointment setting function but the person you get an email from doesn't work there anymore and when you call no one knows anything about the appointment. Not sure about this place they haven't actually done any work or called me back to schedule an appointment.

The staff gave me a verbal 2 year labor warranty. Then never fixed my generator. When I finally got them back out they tried to charge me $ 1500 for a service call. Unit will still not run!! Be careful if you deal with them get everything in writing!!!
