We enjoyed the place. There is plenty of parking and due to the lack of power boats, the water is calm. If you have an inflatable Kayak be a little careful of the shore due to fallen trees. In many places, the water is less than 5 feet deep.
There is almost no current here. If you are a beginner kayak to the bridge to the right and then work your way back to the launch.

Very convenient access to both the Union Canal and the upper parts of Blue Marsh Lake, with parking alongside PA-183. Keep in mind that this location places you downstream of the canal, so you'll be rowing against the current if you're heading that way.
