Be aware that locals would rat you out to the police should you decide to park by the closed gate. They keep the gate closed on weekends all summer long. Do not park on the side of local roads or near the gate unless you want your car towed. It is 100% confirmed and tried.

Nice quiet kayak launch. Smaller parking lot so trailers might be a tight fit depending on the day.

Quiet on the weekdays. Good fishing ( carp, catfish) shallow water too far out to cast deeply from shore. With a boat there are ma y varieties of fish to be had. Fairly clean trails, dog friendly
