Bayou Cumbest boat Ramp

They should have at least made it a two ramp facility! It is completely asinine to have a 2 acre parking lot and a single ramp! How about fixing this short coming!

Ripped the white trout. Boat launch, gazebo, and a spot to clean fish right there. Great place to fish!!!

July 13, 2022 I saw 6 osprey this morning at the Bayou Cumbest boat ramp. I was hoping they would try to catch a fish out in front of the pier but they never saw anything. Just around the bend where I couldn’t see the water I saw them make several attempts, but because of the marsh grass I was unable to see if they got a fish. It was very nice out there this morning… I just enjoyed watching them circle around even thro the sun was still in front of me I made the best of it.

You can launch your boat here, free of charge. It has a pier on each side of the boat ramp. You shouldn't have any trouble finding somewhere to park your vehicle & boat trailer. There's a couple acres available, some of the parking area is paved & some is gravel. There's a little pier you can walk on with a decent size covered cabana/gazebo type of section at the end. It's good for relaxing or to fish from. But my favorite part of this boat launch is the fact that there are surveillance cameras that cover the parking lot, pier, & the boat launch! You don't have to worry about things like 'coming back from a long day of boating just to find your truck is gone'!

Nice facility with plenty of parking and a good ramp and fishing pier. There's a portapottie there that's usually pretty well kept. No trash cans last time though. Not sure why that was the case. Only one ramp so gets backed up at peak times.
