Atlanta Marine Service Center

Pretty crazy! Wanted to order a quart of color matched gel coat for a boat, called up Atlanta marine and they were super helpful except for the price! Came time to pay for it and they charged me $378.91 - I thought that number was ridiculous! I Called up spectrum (the company they bought the gel coat from) and got a quote for $198.07 out the door. - I felt it was a bit dirty to add on $184.84 to the bill (assuming they got it for the same price if not less) - I then confronted them about this and they agreed to refund me $40 which I am appreciative of,however - I totally understand companies need to make money, but should be done within reason. - I strongly urge others reading to pay close attention when dealing with Atlanta marine. **Update** The following day I received a call from a manager asking for more in depth reasoning for this one star review. After expressing my concern I was berated for my lack of knowledge for how the boat market works “I don’t know if you know how the marine industry works but a %40 margin is normal…” A combative conversation that left me with a more foul taste. Overall the intent of trying to reach out and see what went wrong was a good move and I can applaud them for that effort. Ultimately the customer(I) am even more so upset with the interactions with this company to the point of taking time out of my day to share my experience.

They were able to order the part I needed. I felt the price was reasonable for being a dealership.

Greg Silver and his staff (Tim, Sharon, and Donna) are top notch. They are responsive and have the customer’s best interest at heart. They took care of annual maintenance and some warranty items. Greg came out and drove it with me. Very satisfied.

These guys do very professional work at a fair price. I had a complete repower job and had them run new fuel lines, steering and wiring. Eric the tech treated the project like it was his own boat and he was a real pleasure to deal with. I never felt like he wash in a rush and he answered all my questions even though some were probably exhausting. He was very patient even after I had to switch 3 props (which they didn't charge for). Mark the owner and his staff are always friendly and run a very good operation. I Highly recommend them!
