Alpine Boat Landing

If you follow Google maps, you'll end up on a narrow, rutted road and nearly impassable road -don't take Indian Rock Road. Keep going till you see the boat landing sign from the main road-Rocky Road. Boat landing is very nice, clean and a great spot on the river.

Alpine Boat Landing provided an amazing kayaking adventure. The location was stunning, facilities were convenient, and the tranquil environment made it a perfect getaway. Safety measures were top-notch. Highly recommended for an unforgettable kayaking experience No bathrooms nearby though. Prepare accordingly

This boat launch is a pretty good one. You do have to go down basically a goat path when driving here so be careful. You can back your trucks down close to the water so its easier to load/unload. The parkinglot is flat and has plenty of parking but it is getting busier and busier.

This is a very nice boat launch, none of the issues of vertical hills with washed out gravel/roads (like arcadia). There is also more parking than some of the other upper james put ins. It's always a fun time whether you start or finish here. FYI--The road is hilly, curvy, and one-way in spots, so watch out, be careful, and mind your speed coming in-- esp bc many people will be pulling trailers there.

Close to the road. There was a chained gate that was locked making it a longer kayak carry. Still much easier than the take out at Arcadia. Please pick your trash when you use these beautiful venues. Mo
