Alligator River Marina

Used to be great. My go to stop. But their hours have gotten so unreliable that i chose to give up going there. Online hours show open until 7 but showed up at 4:55 and lights are off and no ones in the parking lot. This has happened several times.

Nothing fancy but cheap, easy, friendly, reliable. When you’re traveling on a 30 foot Catalina and not much dock experience, This is the kind of marina we hope for. The marina was available after hours on Facebook messenger to accept our reservation the night prior, then as we were approaching though we couldn’t reach them by vhf they were ready by phone and dock master outside at the dock ready to help us secure our lines. Very welcoming dock master acquainted us with the bathhouse and laundry facility and let us know hot food is being cooked up til 5pm. We ordered a surprisingly generous size and good quality double patty with bacon cheeseburger and cheesesteak, plus fries, onion rings, and fried okra and a case of modelo. Less than $50 and dock fees, diesel and laundry were the cheapest we found between here and New York marinas, around $50. Showers were hot, diesel was cheap and easy access to fill up our boat. Had the place to ourselves and even got a load of laundry done $2.00 wash 1.50 to dry. For all these reasons we enjoyed our stop and give 5*

Very friendly atmosphere and the food is pretty good for on-the-go I enjoyed the chili dog

A convient stop for gas by car or by boat. Decent prices and amazing sunset/ sunrise views. Coin operated laundry room for boaters.. but no atm and no change machine. Some of the staff was super friendly... others not so much!! But the showers were clean and accessible 24 hours with dockage.

Some have written some unfavorable posts, but we were there for a few days due to the weather. The food is totally awesome. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful in all ways. The boathouse lounge and restrooms were 100% clean and welcoming. We were unfortunately unable to get the chicken that is so much spoken of, but the burgers are the best We've had anywhere.
