Fuel, fresh water, good location, I could keep going. It’s also very well protected from the elements.

We stopped at Acushnet safe boating club to get in from the weather and wait for hurricane Dorian to pass, you couldn't ask for a better spot as the town has a hurricane gate at the entrance of New Bedford Harbor that closes if the weather gets to bad. Acushnet is one of the most friendly , welcoming and reasonably priced marinas we have stayed at, and we have stayed at many up and down the US seaboard . The workers and club members always stop to chat and have a story to tell , we have met so many nice people , we had offers to drive us for grocery or laundry . They gave us lots of information on the area and what we might like to see. This place will always be a must stop when we are in the MA area . There is no laundry on site but there is one a mile up the road so not a big deal. Karen & Burt Almost Heaven
